“By holding a 2×2 Battle competition, apart from being a place to screen basketball talents that are still hidden out there, I hope this event can give new breath to basketball in Indonesia,” said TNBT Corp CEO and Founder of 2×2 Battle, Dina Carol through statement received, Sunday (31/7).

“Not only that, this event is expected to have a sustainable impact on the world of national basketball and its derivative industries, which of course will indirectly provide positive progress for both the national economy and public health,” he added.

In Jakarta (Cilandak Town Square), the 2×2 basketball competition will be held on 30 August-4 September. In Bandung (Cihampelas Walk) it will be held on 15-18 September while in Surabaya (Surabaya Town Square) on 6-9 October.

Unlike the more popular 5×5 or 3×3 matches, 2×2 basketball consists of only two players. This model is considered more practical because it does not require many players to compete.

The 2×2 Battle event is a tournament that is open to male and female basketball players in the U-18 and Open categories with a total prize of IDR 500 million. Other competitions such as the slam dunk contest, 3 points, freestyle basketball, freestyle dance battle are also part of the series.

The assimilation of hip-hop culture that is closely related to basketball will also be presented in the 2×2 Battle competition. (OL-6)
