detikcom has compiled a public library that you can visit that has a beautiful design and makes you comfortable. Come on, come on.
1. National Library
The National Library is located at Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan No.11, Central Jakarta. The location is directly opposite Monas and not far from the Transjakarta bus stop. You can get off at the Monas Bus Stop and the City Hall Stop, then walk a bit to the building.
You should be proud, the National Library Building is the tallest in the world at 126.3 meters. This tall building has a service building of 24 floors.

For a collection of books, you don’t have to hesitate. Everything is complete here, there are even ancient manuscripts, multimedia services, audiovisuals, rare books, international collections, various exhibitions and many more.
The National Library is open every day. The service is open every Monday-Thursday 08.00-21.00 WIB, Friday 09.00-21.00 WIB and Saturday-Sunday at 08.00-16.00 WIB.
Well, a traveler, who just wants to read a book, can go up to floors 21 to 22. The 23rd floor serves foreign books, while the 24th floor stores books about the stories of the archipelago.
2. Freedom Institute Library
The Freedom Institute library is located at Wisma Bakrie, Kuningan, South Jakarta, the Kuningan Madya Busway Stop is right in front of this building, you don’t have to walk far when you arrive at your destination.
The Freedom Institute library has a comfortable design for visitors. With a variety of seating options, complete books and also free Wifi access.

To have a library membership card is also free, a traveler only needs to fill out a form and show an ID card. Various instagramable spots can also be found in this modern library.
3. Erasmus Huis Perpustakaan Library
The Erasmus Huis library is located in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta. This library is located inside the Dutch Embassy, precisely on Jalan H. Rasuna Said Blok C No.3. Eastern Brass.
Access to the library is also easy. If you take the busway, you can get off at the Kuningan Timur busway stop, or if you take the train, you can get off at Cawang Station.
Designed like a Dutch library, white and brown colors color the library room. The design inside also attracts the eye to make it comfortable to look at.
There are several places to sit, some use a table and some relax. Books are neatly displayed, mostly in Dutch, but there are also books in Indonesian and English.

This library was founded in 1981, then renovated in November 2018. Since then this library has become instagramable and loved by millennials.
For those who want to borrow books, you must become a member first. For students, a fee of IDR 15,000 per year is charged, while for the public it is IDR 30,000 per year.
For opening hours, Erasmus Huis Monday is open from 09.00-12.00. On Tuesday-Saturday from 09.00-16.00 while on Sunday it is closed.
4. Ismail Marzuki Park Library
Taman Ismail Marzuki Library has just been inaugurated some time ago. The library design with a more modern face makes anyone want to come visit.
This library has 5 floors where each floor has a variety of collections. Here there is a special place for reading, discussion and also a children’s play area. The library also shares a floor with the Hans Bague Jassin Literary Documentation Center, a documentation institute that stores and manages a collection of more than 3,000 books, diaries, magazine clippings and literary works belonging to literary critics.

Here a traveler can choose to read while sitting at a table or sitting on a chair. There is also a podcast room, inclusion room and a partitioned table for quieter and more focused reading.
The library is open every day at 09.00-17.00 WIB and it’s free. Before visiting, you must first register at library.jakarta.go.id.
