The Indonesian archery team will compete in the Archery World Championships in Antalya, Turkey, on April 18-24, 2022. The event will be a trial against the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, in May 2022.
« We don’t give specific targets (in Turkey), they don’t have to score the highest or reach their peak there. We want them to sharpen their focus and build on their peak performance in Vietnam, » said archery team manager Ary Koeswiranto in Jakarta, Thursday (31/31/2020). 3).
PB Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani) is eyeing the championship in Antalya as a warm-up event before competing in Vietnam.

The archery teams that will depart are seven men and three women, including three Olympic athletes, namely Riau Ega Agatha Salsabilla, Arif Dwi Pangestu, and Bagas Prastyadi.
Ary stated that all athletes are in good condition and ready to compete in the SEA Games.
The coaching staff has also designed a program to help athletes achieve their peak performance at the SEA Games with the target of winning gold.
« We must be able to manage athletes to reach peak performance according to schedule. Rest time between events is very short. So we hope athletes return in good health and ready for the next event, » said Ary.
On that occasion, the Red and White contingent CdM team for the SEA Games visited the archery team’s training center at GBK, Senayan. The CdM delegation checked on archery athletes and provided support for preparation. (Dhk/OL-09)
