AHM Wants to Use the Mandalika Circuit as a Place for Coaching Early Age Racers


PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) hopes that the Mandalika Circuit will not only be a Moto-GP racing arena. It is hoped that there will be other activities that can be carried out in the arena which also held the World Superbike last year.

According to AHM Senior Manager PR Rina Listiani, his party is very happy that Indonesia finally has a circuit that can fill the MotoGP calendar this season. AHM is also interested in using the circuit as a place for coaching the drivers of their education.

« We have a plan to develop educated racers here (Mandalika Circuit), moreover this has once held a Moto-GP, but the details cannot be told yet, » said Rina when met at the Mandalika Circuit, Saturday (19/3).

According to Rina, AHM itself has been trying for a long time to produce world-class racers. Mario Suryo Aji became the newest name and joined to enliven Moto-GP in the Moto-3 class. Mario is a graduate of Astra Honda Racing School (AHRC).

Apart from Mario, who also experienced AHM’s guidance at AHRC, there were Dimas Ekky Pratama, Andi Farid Izdihar (Andi Gilang), and Gerry Salim. (OL-7)
