Before the Parade, MotoGP Riders will meet Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace

The MotoGP racers who will take part in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Lombok, on March 18-20 are scheduled to be welcomed by President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (16/3).

After the audience, Jokowi will release the racers for the parade from and to the Merdeka Palace by crossing the HI Roundabout, said Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono.

“Tomorrow the President will have an audience with MotoGP riders competing in Mandalika. There are dozens of riders present and of course names that are already familiar to MotoGP fans, such as Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Maverick Vinales , Alex Marquez, and Takaaki Nakagami,” said Heru in a statement received in Jakarta, today.

“So for tomorrow, the President will only have an audience and after that he will release the racers with their respective racing motorbikes. The President will not participate in the convoy.”
