Tennis world number four Iga Swiatek came from behind in three consecutive matches to reach the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Masters tournament, Wednesday (16/3) early morning WIB, by defeating Angelique Kerber.
The 20-year-old Pole, who won the title in Doha last month, overcame an unforced error to beat Kerber 4-6, 6-2 and 6-3.
“I hope to win in straight sets,” said Swiatek, who also lost a set against Anhelina Kalinina and Clara Tauson.
