TAYLOR Fritz ended a 13-match unbeaten streak of Andrey Rublev, Sunday (20/3) WIB, with a 7-5, 6-4 victory to advance to the final round of the Indian Wells Masters.
The United States (US) world number 2 has become the first American men’s tennis player to reach the Indian Wells final since John Isner in 2012.
Fritz will seek to become the first American man to win at Indian Wells since Andre Agassi in 2001 when he takes on the winner of a match between Rafael Nadal or fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, aged 18.

Nadal, who won his 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January, is unbeaten in 19 matches in 2022.
For Alcaraz, who is 17 years behind Nadal, he will face his idol as he begins to speak volumes at ATP tournaments including winning his first title in Rio de Janeiro in 2020.
Since then, Alcaraz has added two more titles at Umag and Rio de Janeiro, last month. (AFP/OL-1)
