Fajar/Rian confirmed their place in the last eight of the Super 1000 level tournament after winning the civil war against Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri in the round of 16, Thursday (16/6) night.
Meanwhile, Liu/Ou advanced to the quarter-finals after getting rid of the Indian pair MR Arjun/Dhruv Kapila.

They also succeeded in overthrowing the world number three Indonesian men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan in two straight games in the first round, Wednesday (15/6).
“Against China tomorrow, what we need to watch out for is their very strong power and speed,” Fajar told the media after the match.
The pair ranked sixth in the world are also ready to put all their energy into it, even though the two players have gone through a tough three-game match in the closing match, Thursday (16/6) night.
“We also have to better prepare the strategy and tomorrow must also be ready to be tired,” he added.
Fajar/Rian previously beat Liu/Ou in the inaugural meeting of the two pairs at the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships, last April.
The quarter-finals will start at 13.00 WIB, while the Fajar/Rian match will take place in the eighth party. (Ant/OL-1)
