FOUR Indonesian representatives secured a place in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Orleans Masters. One sector of the men’s and women’s singles plus two mixed doubles won the round of 16.
Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati defeated the Danish pair Mathias Thyrri/Amalie Magelund 14-21, 21-15 and 21-8. In the quarter-finals Rehan/Lisa will face Anton Kaisti (Finland)/Alzbeta Basov (Czech Republic).
The other mixed doubles, Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami will face the host pair Fabien Delrue/Vimala Heriau.

Akbar/Gischa in the last 16 beat compatriots Amri Syahnawi/Winny Oktavina Kandow 21-13, 21-19.
The only men’s singles left Christian Adinata will also face the host’s representative in the quarter-finals, namely Arnaud Merkle.
In the round of 16, Christian beat Kiran George (India) 21-16 and 21-9.
Christian and Merkle are recorded to have met at the 2018 BWF World Junior Championship. The meeting took place in the big 32 match and Christian managed to win it.
In the women’s singles sector, Putri Kusuma Wardani will meet Estonia’s representative, Kristin Kuuba. Putri advanced to the quarter-finals after fighting against compatriot Ruselli Hartawan 21-11 and 21-10. (Ant/OL-1)
