Kyrie Irving Scores Record 60 Points in One Game

Basketball player Kyrie Irving performed brilliantly by bringing the Brooklyn Nets to a landslide victory 150-108 over the Orlando Magic. The two basketball clubs competed in the NBA follow-up game on Tuesday (15/3) local time.

In that match, Irving recorded his career record by scoring 60 points in one game. Appearing for 35 minutes, he also recorded 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.

The record of 60 points surpassed the previous record, when Irving defended the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015 with 57 points, when they beat the San Antonio Spurs.

Playing at home to Orlando, Amway Center, the Brooklyn Nets won the first quarter 30-48 and the second quarter 26-38. However, the third quarter belongs to Orlando 33-30. The Nets ended the match in the fourth quarter with a big 34-19.

In the Nets camp, Kevin Durant became the second largest contributor with 19 points. Then, followed by Patty Mills with 15 points, Kessler Edwards with 14 points and Nic Claxton with 12 points.

These results make the Nets now won four consecutive wins. They collected a record (36-33) and sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings, in order to maintain hope of qualifying for the playoffs. (AFP/OL-11)
