Ahead of the Moto-GP event at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, NTB, next weekend, 6-time Moto-GP Champion Marc Marquez is confident the RC213V will perform brilliantly.
Marquez assesses that his ride this season is much different from the previous season, especially the RC213V has also proven to be competitive in the pre-season test last February at Mandalika.
“It’s completely different (the bike), but without a doubt, we will continue to work to adapt. This is a new challenge,” said Marquez quoted from CrashSunday (13/3).
As is known in the pre-season test last February, the RC213V performed impressively through Repsol Honda racer Pol Espargaro by achieving the fastest lap on the first and third day of the test.

Furthermore, Marquez also said that the Mandalika Circuit was a suitable place for him to better understand his mount.
“We found something different with this new bike, and since I started the first test we improved, especially in Mandalika,” said Marquez.
“Mandalika will be better. Better in terms of results I don’t know, but it will be easier to understand things, because you can work in the morning and evening sessions,” he explained.
If you reflect on the opening race series in Qatar last weekend, Marquez performed quite brilliantly where he finished in P5 with a time of 42 minutes 17 seconds in 22 laps.
When asked about whether he had any pressure for the 2022 Moto-GP, especially since he had been out for quite a while in 2020 due to an injury to his right arm and also had problems with his eyesight in 2021. Marquez said the pressure was always there.
“The pressure is always there because my goal is to fight for the World Championship. I think consistency will be key this year.” (Rif/Crash/OL-09)
