The management of the All-Indonesian Badminton Association (PP PBSI) on Monday (14/3) confirmed that Indonesian Men’s Singles badminton player Jonatan Christie had tested negative for Covid-19.
As previously known, after losing the fight against Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the last 16 of the 2022 German Open, Jonathan was confirmed to have been exposed to COVID-19, making him have to self-isolate for several days in Germany.

“Jonatan Christie, who was previously confirmed positive for Covid-19, was finally declared negative after undergoing two PCR tests on Saturday (12/3) and Sunday (13/3) yesterday,” PP PBSI said in its official statement, Monday (14/3). .
After being declared positive for COVID-19, PP PBSI said that currently Jonathan has been allowed to fly to Birmingham, England, to take part in the All England 2022 tournament.
“Jojo and the team have now left for England from Germany. Upon arrival in England, the team will again undergo a Covid-19 test,” wrote PP PBSI.
The All England 2022 tournament will be held on February 16-20 at the Utility Arena in Birmingham, England. In that tournament, Indonesia fielded 15 representatives, of which 13 were under the PP PBSI team while the other two were under the PB Djarum team. (Rif/PBSI/OL-6)
