Nakagami will rest at home before trying to get fit again for the American GP next week.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be racing this weekend in Argentina. I got a positive PCR test before flying to Termas,” Nakagami tweeted.
“I apologize to the team, sponsors and fans. I don’t have any symptoms and I feel good, I’m just very sad and disappointed.”
“I hope to be back on track again in Austin for the American GP,” he continued.
Because HRC test rider Stefan Bradl has been assigned to replace Marc Marquez at Repsol Honda, Alex Marquez will be alone defending the LCR Honda team in Argentina. (Ant/OL-1)
