AFTER a slow start to the season, MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo has shot to the top of the standings.
Successfully topping the list with 89 points, the French racer is now eyeing his home win for the 2022 season, when the French GP MotoGP series will be held this weekend.
In the six races that have taken place this season, Quartararo has been on the podium three times, namely the Indonesian GP, Portuguese GP and Spanish GP. El diablo’s best achievement, nicknamed Quartararo, came in Portugal when he managed to become the fastest.

In order to get the most out of the main race at Le Mans Circuit, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider is targeting a strong pre-race performance, hoping to help him snatch victory.
“It’s hard to know who will be at the top. Fight for the podium this weekend,” said Quartararo, Friday (13/5).
“This is a different track to Jerez (Spanish GP) and the most important thing is that we have to work hard. Try to secure ourselves for Q2 and find good tires for the race,” he added.

In the race at the French GP last season, El Diablo had to settle for finishing in third position. At that time, he lost quickly to two Ducati riders, namely Jack Miller and Johann Zarco.
Returning to racing at home, Quartararo said it was always something special. Therefore, he is determined to be able to show the best performance at the French GP.
“Of course I will give my best, but you know, especially the home GP, it can put you more stress and more pressure,” concluded Quartararo.
