Senior Players and Young Players Enliven IBL All Star 2022


AFTER a vacuum in 2021, the Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) ALL Star 2022 will be held again. The basketball competition is scheduled for March 31 at the Senayan Basketball Hall, Jakarta.

From the general voting results on February 28-13 March, with 8,500 votes collected, IBL has got the best players and coaches chosen by the public from the red division and white division.

“Thank you to IBL fans who have participated in the All Star election this time. After a hiatus last season, finally the best IBL star wars can start again,” said IBL President Director Junas Miradiarsyah in an official statement, Wednesday (16/3).

“The choice of fans this time is very interesting. Apart from the best performance of players based on the statistics that competed, it also combines senior players and young players,” he added.

Based on the voting results, the Red Division team will be led by coach Youbel Sondakh from Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta, who won 48% of the vote. Meanwhile, the White Division team will be headed by David Singleton from Prawira Bandung who collected 50% of the votes.

In the Red Division, Rio Disi (West Bandits) and Widyanta Putra Teja (West Bandits) were successfully selected for the Guard positions. As for the Forward position, Arki Wisnu (Satria Muda) and Ali Bagir Wayarabi (Indonesian Patriots) will be filled.

Jonathan (Pacific Caesar) won the center position, who won 35% of the vote. Meanwhile, the position will be filled by Foregin Player Tyree Jamar (Satya Wacana) with 25% of the votes.

For the White Division, Yudha Saputra (Prawira Bandung) and Abraham Damar (Prawira Bandung) were selected to fill the guard positions. Then for the Forward position won by Kaleb Remot (Dewa United) and Fisyaiful Amir (Amartha Hangtuah).

Meanwhile, the center position will be filled by Vincent Rivaldi (Pelita Jaya) who won 43% of the vote. For the Foreign Player position, Shavar Tahrel (NSH Mountain) won 31% of the vote.

In addition to the six selected players, the coach of the Red Division and White Division will also choose six other players to strengthen the team at IBL All Stars 2022

In holding IBL ALL Star Day, there will not only be a match between the Red Division vs White Division, but also other contests. For example, a 3 point contest, a dunk contest and a skill challenge, as well as a festival of basketball league journeys from time to time. (IBL/OL-11)
