VICTORY was won by the world number two men’s doubles pair Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan in the second round of the 2022 All England badminton tournament. Facing the Chinese doubles, Liu Cheng/Zhang Nan, Thursday (17/3) night WIB, The Daddies, the nicknames of Ahsan’s partner/ Hendra, won the rubber game 19-21, 21-17 and 21-14 in 51 minutes.
The Daddies’ victory made Indonesia temporarily have three representatives in the men’s doubles quarter-finals. Previously, the young pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana also managed to qualify after defeating eighth seed Malaysia Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi with a score of 24-22, 13-21 and 21-17.
